Hi! I’m Jenna Munday
My name is Jenna Munday and I’m a blogger who swapped the lowlands of the Netherlands for the highlands of Wales. Natural living, food from scratch, vintage homeware, and a handmade home are some of the things I write about.
ABOUT ME
I’m from a small town in North-Holland. When it was time to go to university, I decided to venture out to a big city. Utrecht became my city of choice and I finished my Bachelor of Law there.
When I heard that I couldn’t do my Masters for another year I had no idea what to do next. It was only two weeks before the new term began and I had already bought my books!
Two words to describe my feelings? Shock and panic. Little did I know what amazing things God had planned for me!
I ended up becoming an au pair for a lovely family outside of Caerphilly in Wales. I’d never been to Great Britain before. During those 10 months of work, I fell in love with Wales and a young man called Nathan.
After my time as an au pair, I returned to the Netherlands to study Company Law, again at the University of Utrecht. This period is what Nathan and I sometimes call the hardest time of our lives, i.e. a long-distance relationship.
In December 2017, Nathan proposed to me and I said yes. In July 2018, on completing my Master’s, I moved to Wales. Following our wedding on the 22nd of September 2018, we moved in together into a lovely rental home in St Mellons (Cardiff).
March 2019. Nathan started a new job with the National Trust where he’d be looking after an old house in the heart of Snowdonia. A cosy cottage in a remote valley became our new home. A new adventure began…
I currently work part-time in a cafe. After work I spend time with Nathan, bake, hike, read, and much more! In the past, I’ve had various hobbies and mini-projects. From Youtube Channels to designing diaries, the latest one is setting up a webshop.
One thing I keep returning to is my blog. Blogging gives me joy, excites me, and gets my creative juices flowing!
Much love,
Jenna
