Update From the Wybrnant Valley: We Have Moved Into the Cottage!

While I am writing this, I am actually writing this with pen and paper. It is the third day after we have moved into the cottage and we haven’t been able yet to set up our wi-fi and computer. I will type this out and upload the blog post when I can 🙂

What has it been like?

As it is now, I haven’t seen myself in a mirror for over four days. I might have been walking around with black dirt on my face all along, who knows? My husband Nathan would.. I might have to ask him later whether there is something he needs to tell me :p One of our main struggles is to find clean pants. They seem to have magically disappeared to I-don’t-want-to-be-found-land. Also, something that is keeping us very busy is finding (and cutting) wood for our fireplace. The fact that we don’t have central heating makes us live with the motto: no wood equals no fire equals being very very cold. It is one of the many things to which I have to get used to about living in the countryside for the first time. Don’t get me wrong though, I am loving every bit of it!

The move has been quite hard since we had to move the day after coming home from our holiday to Italy (about which I still want to write a blog post, so much to tell!), but thanks to the help of our sweet friends and family we and our things made it here safe and sound.

We are currently living amidst a big mess and even though I have the urge of wanting to have everything finished right away, I am forcing myself to take my time and enjoy the process. It is a wonderful house we get to live in and I try to enjoy and take in every moment of seeing our home come together. I still have to pinch myself sometimes! I’d never thought I would be living in such a lovely cottage like this.

I thought it would be nice to show you some pictures of the cottage taken at the day we moved in and some pictures taken at the second day here.
