Easy Frozen Fruit Smoothie
If you are looking for an easy, healthy, and delicious snack then look no further. This frozen fruit smoothie is ready in 4 minutes.
- 1 Banana
- 120 gr Frozen fruit I often use raspberries and blackberries (but black forest fruit mix, strawberries, and blackberries work too) and mango (pineapple works too)
- 2 tbsp Desiccated coconut
- 15 gr Oats
- 1 tsp Chia Seeds
- 200 ml Oat milk But any other milk will work too. I am a big fan of the oat milk brand Oat-ly.
- 2 tbsp Walnuts
You will want to start with putting the walnuts in a bowl with boiled water for 3 minutes. This allows the walnuts to soak and become softer. When added to the smoothie, it will add a sense of creaminess to it.
Next, make sure to add the banana, frozen fruit, desiccated coconut, oats, chia seeds, oat milk, and walnuts to the blender. Blend it for 1 minute.
The smoothie including the oats and chia seeds is high in calories. We're looking at about 600 calories all together. So you could even consume it as a meal.
But if you are thinking of having it as a snack and are a bit bothered by the high calorie count. You could omit the walnuts, oats, and chia seeds without compromising the flavour!
